Subject: Why there are so many "Clearances" in Scientology. It is what LRH ordered, and his orders still stand!!!

I just had a realization about WHY there was the old GO 824, clearances for Flag, and later the clearances for going "uplines" to Int, and also clearances today for public to go to the Freewinds, and clearances for the OT levels, and clearances for people to even attend public events!!!!!

Here's what LRH said, in the middle of one of his most important intelligence writings to Mary Sue, and a document that all ex Scientologists, and existing ones who venture to read the material on ARS should absolutely patiently read!!

LRH said as regards to "clearances":

"We have the tech for Security but we're not using it. We don't have Clearance Ratings for Execs or staff members but should have." [L. Ron Hubbard to Mary Sue Hubbard,2 Dec 1969 ]

[MANY THANKS for those who made this document public!!]

This LRH writing causes a major permanent problem for official Scientology to be obliged to execute, and the Office of Special Affairs International today wears the hat of executing the "timeless tech" LRH wrote to Mary Sue in this writing from 1969.

My ex wife, Janet Finley Beatty, her job in the Office of Special Affairs was maintaining the "Invest Files" on people, and all people going to the Freewinds today, their names are sent to Janet (if she's still in OSA, which I assume she is) and Janet then does the check of OSA's voluminous files to ensure the named persons haven't been bad boys or girls since the last time they went to the Freewinds, and Janet gives any data OSA has collected about these people going to the ship.

Same for all sorts of other clearances, there is a constant flow of traffic to my ex wife's post in OSA, to check the files and give the okay or not okay for people to do things, like do their OT levels, or go to the Freewinds, or go to Int (when being promoted to Int for the first time, or for visitors going to Int), and also I recall even Author Services Inc, when going over the guest list for the ASI readings of LRH's pulp books, the legal post at ASI sent names of people who he needed to ensure were "good hats" and weren't some scummy sleazy out-ethics Scientologists, to ensure only ethical upstats were okayed to come to ASI events.

And also, finally, at the events held in LA, there is the OSA staff who stand near the entrances, looking, eyeballing for the good Scientologists, and weeding out the "bad" Scientologists and worse (SPs, etc.) which OSA is the one responsible.

This whole angle of Scientology and "Clearance" it was someting LRH ordered to Mary Sue and the GO set up the files, and now it is Office of Special Affairs hat today, to keep track of people's behavior that affects their "security clearance" for various Church of Scientology levels of participation.

Hubbard's prolific writings, like this one http://www.lisamcpherson.org/scans/GO_intel_actions_1969.pdf [L. Ron Hubbard to Mary Sue Hubbard,2 Dec 1969 ] have permanent impact on the character of official Scientology.

Subject: Hubbard says "...limit what they receive or what they broadly know...."

Hard to believe LRH said this, but it makes sense, in retrospect:

"In a Franchise [the Mission echelon next below the Class 5 church echelon] or FSM circuit [Field Staff Member, a trained Scientologist, non-staff] you can't keep Security in. So you have to limit what they receive or what they broadly know." [L. Ron Hubbard to Mary Sue Hubbard,2 Dec 1969 ]

This above full writing is so important. It reveals the concealed heart and soul of today's official Church of Scientology's Office of Special Affairs International.

It makes me hope all the more for some Office of Special Affairs ex top ranked staff who know the full extent of OSA's activities, to lay bare exactly to what degree OSA is carrying on per LRH's 1969 writing above.

My picks for top OSA defectors: Jacqueline Kevanar, Kurt Weiland, and Lynn Farney.

They should know plenty that would confirm the cutting edge irreligious activities of Office of Special Affairs, Church of Scientology International.

Or some long duration B1 type persons.

We need a literate vocal ex OSA person to come out and spill some beans, update internal history what's been happening inside OSA the last decade or so.

Dear Old Timer,

LRH's faulty ideas and Scientologists' unquestioning "we are only following orders" mindset you faithfully demonstrate below with your "standard" OSA (Hubbard) deflecting, goading, inciting, implied smearing tactics, and additionally your sending this on Wednesday, to me, reminds me of the almost desperate phone call I received Thursday before 2pm by church attorney Elliot Abelson.

Your email below is just the "safe" TR-3 repeat deceptive target of one of the OSA Program targets OSA is running on "Chuck Beatty."

You're either the OSA staffer themselves, or just the loyal Scientologist helping OSA and passing along the OSA staffer composed email dutifully so it appears you are some independent person. It is such an odd world you live in, really, if you think about it.

Too bad you aren't allowed to sit back and read freely like people outside the limitations of LRH's rules. I recommend you read these L. Ron Hubbard writings patiently, and then begin reading the critical books and government reports done on Scientology over the decades:

http://www.xenu.net/archive/go/agiadmin/agiadm1.htm
http://www.lisamcpherson.org/scans/GO_intel_actions_1969.pdf
http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/Library/

Once you read a bit, newly, and freely, you will discover the valid faults in Scientology that LRH never addressed, and which plague Scientology as a reality endlessly.

Once you read the excellent material already out in the public domain, you will see that I am only regurgitating the thoughts of others who have SO MUCH better concluded correctly and written about LRH's and Scientology's downsides. (Note to OSA staff who get to read this email from Chuck Beatty: Isn't is a bitch that certain people and certain things count one week on the stats, and then don't count other weeks!).

Anyways, "Old Timer", you may or may not even be a real identity, but are merely some OSA/Scientology PI/Scientologist volunteer ploy/identity.

You don't want me posting on ARS, since that adds me to OSA's weekly downstat count! Downstats are all OSA staff can concentrate on, they have to accept LRH's default concepts about mankind's higher human characteristics, and assume they are defending those higher human character qualities, when in fact the truth is they are "following orders" and have given up their rights to have counter to LRH ideas or opinions!

My favorite reading at the moment is Bent Corydon's excellent excellent book on LRH and Scientology. It quotes so many ex Apollo veterans who knew LRH upclose! I hope the OSA staff who get to read this post, go onto the OSA computer system and read the Bent Corydon book, since I believe the text is on the OSA computer system. (Maybe a few OSA staff will read some of Bent's book during their lunchtime, just before running down for lunch or dinner!) It is priceless and I recommend Scientologists and ex Scientologists read it!

Nothing ANY of the critics are saying against Scientology is particularly new! OSA and its activities (your email being their work) is part of the continuing bad ideas of Hubbard.

LRH's bad ideas and bad behavior are the target, and the people today in Scientology carrying out LRH's downside ideas and creating downside results, are the inevitable continuing controversies which are the inevitable target of "critics."

It is LRH's ideas which start the whole chain of events.

"Old Timer's" fake identity tiptoes the balancing act amongst the self-imposed censorship tightrope. They are caught in LRH's web of Catch 22s. OSA's covert operations.

I have been asked by outside smart media WHY is this round and round controversy goes on between critics and Scientology. I answered that it is because of the Catch 22s and downside ideas of LRH which are embedded within the official Scientology movement that's the reason for the continuing controversy.

(The OSA Bureaucracy and it's tactics, namely, in defending the LRH ideas that the broader official Scientology movement cannot self-correct due to Hubbard's prolific policy rules disallowing them to self-correct his bad downside ideas.)

Particularly the goading, inciting of the "critics" of Scientology continues because of the heart and soul LRH writings that OSA is today obligated to follow (which includes this "Old Timer", "Thursday before two p.m." email obligatory down stat salvaging effort against me):

http://www.xenu.net/archive/go/agiadmin/agiadm1.htm
http://www.lisamcpherson.org/scans/GO_intel_actions_1969.pdf

It's human and normal to discuss downside ideas like these LRH downside writings listed above.

Chuck,

I sent you an email last month and I discovered today that you put it on ars instead of answering it. Did you think that I’d go away just because you make every single one of my emails available in that hate forum? Do you really think that those emails make you look good? You can say that they “smear” you all you want but you’ve never denied any of that, have you? I wonder why Chuck?

Why can’t you simply confront the communications that I have written you and address the issue of why you left Scientology like a real man?

You stated that you want to destroy Scientology, but you know deep down that it will never happen. If your network of “reliable” gossip-mongers would tell you one ounce of truth then you’d know that Scientology is expanding at such a rapid rate that none of your “sources” would be able to keep up with it no matter how many times they or you lied about it.

I believe it would be wiser on your part to spend the remainder of your existence doing something more productive and useful rather than making yourself look like a fanatic, which is what you have become. It is your problem Chuck if you like child pornography. Don’t blame Scientologists because they disagree with your moral code. No sane man or woman would agree with you except some of your newly acquired associates who have no morals.

Your hatred for Scientologists is consuming you Chuck. You are so obsessed with it that you can’t think or do anything else with the exception, perhaps, of busying yourself with your child pornography fixation.

You can’t pretend to step allover people’s toes and expect them stay quiet. So don’t squawk if these people come out exposing the truth about you.

Yep, I agree, and to me, this is a perfect example of LRH not seeing the downside ramifications of how he himself operated. Those working right next to LRH, of course had to look the other way, they had no option but let LRH just buffoon along, rampage along, rage along, gleefully tossing off irresponsible and mistake laden "solutions" that even his direct messengers and Household Unit personnel sometimes contramanded even, for instance on XSO there was a conversation between the cook, the messenger who was on duty, and the ex Commanding Officer of LRH's Household Unit, all Apollo vets, recalling the time LRH was paranoid of being poisened, and LRH more than once ordered that the cook be RPFed, and LRH was so extremely wrong, the CO Household Unit and the Messenger KNEW the cook was innocent, and the cook was spared by their intervention.

It's LRH's faults and mistakes, that even those directly around him decide openly, or silently NOT to carry out, at times, it's happened.

So a more minor mistake by LRH of NOT thinking from the public Scientologist's viewpoint, this exact situation of public Scientologists not TRUSTING anything NOT written with LRH's signature, LRH was way gone in the stratosphere of the events of his high role, to be aware of what damage LRH's omisison of writing a public HCOPL telling all faithful, explaining to all faithful, that the church managers he's authorizing them their own issue types, and he should have done this, and it is just one of the MANY MANY things LRH didn't do.

LRH also didn't imagine the church would be faced with the OT 3 and Body Thetans theology material being freely discussed almost in over 50% of the news media articles and TV shows on Scientology, and he didn't conclusively order his movie script that gives a chunk of the OT 3 story, the script of the movie he wrote called Revolt In The Stars, well he didn't press forward and think all the ramifications through on publicly releasing the material.

I mean if you get down to it, there are some serious bad places he's put all Scientologists in, which he even more drastically failed at predicting the predicaments the movement has to face today.

I think the only sensible reaction is get out of official Scientology, as the official movement obligates one to be responsible to sift through the WHOLE mass of LRH's writings, and the people at Gilman Hot Springs, and Author Services Inc, they are the ones left holding the whole bag of Hubbard ideas and doctrines, and their predicaments are extensive.

Squirrels and independent movement Scientologists have a much easier time, they don't have to worry about all these other LRH writings, which is more like brand new Scieentologists, who can pick and choose which of Hubbard's ideas they want to do, and they can ignore what they don't even know about.

Well the official top ranks people of the movement, are stuck with the whole set of Hubbard ideas, and Hubbard's whole set of ideas don't tell those at the top to throw out any of his stuff.

It's a huge stew of of ideas and predicaments, at the top of the movement, out there at Gilman Hot Springs.

Yes, that's correct. Realize that when major decisions had to be made (back before DM was making ALL of the major decisions), Int staff did searches on the SIR computer system for all the relevant original LRH despatches, since it is also the case that the final issued form of issues, sometimes small details deemed inappropriate or irrelevant are snipped from the publicly issued issue, but those snipped parts, the original despatches are all still available, for research purposes, for future reference, and if one top exec, like they used to do, is trying to sort out WHAT LRH WOULD DO with the problem the bigtime exec is facing, these original despatches of Hubbard of course are relevant, and that is what the SIR system routinely was used for, as each top of the heap exec in their zone was SUPPOSED to know inside out and backwayrds EVERYTHING Hubbard said about their zone, etc. So polished final issues contain the "timeless tech" but the original despatches have their use by top execs also.

Well, if you worked in ED Int's Office, as one of the 11 Exec Ints, or if you were a WDC Member for Gold, or if you were the Int Finance Director, or if you were CO Household Unit, not only would you have all the neat issues, policies, for your zone, you'd also have ALL of the raw original LRH despatches, with all their quirkly little routings to the old posts that existed way back when during earlier times in the top bureaucracies, and you'd just have to think with ALL of the original context, and make your way through it all.

Taken in context, those original despatches from which the HCO PLs are made, believe me, there's a time and place for both the final "timeless tech" broad issues regular parishioners see, and also there's a need for the top people up at Gilman Hot Springs (at least when the top execs had some sway and were given some clout, I think that's not currently the case, so they probably do less combing through the SIR libraries recently), and the unedited originals on the computer SIR system there for research and top execs and others' use.

You'd have to see it all, and talk to some ex WDC Members and ex Exec Strata Members, or ex Int staff who used the LRH original despatches and "advices" (orders), to see the no situation it is when one is at that echelon. They all, the Int staff, and LRH, failed to see the predicament that lower echelon parishioners and staff are faced with when the whole Int scene looks like a hidden data line operation and "squirrely" compared to what is written in policy, well, that lesson is that their behavior, and LRH's behavior, VIOLATES LRH's earlier broadly issued writings! This is just painful proof of LRH's flaws.

It goes back to LRH, he's the guy. He didn't think his way around it, and thus Int staff haven't either.
